Simon’s bag of tricks
Often we receive radio scanners for repair, which are not defective at all, but possibly loaded incorrectly. Our Simon mainly checks the devices, therefore
his tip to you:
Before you send in a device, check the bottom of the charging station.
If you charge the scanner via the power supply, the button must be set to OFF.
Ifthe button is ON, the scanner will draw power from the PC via the USB cable, which is not strong enough. The scanner’s battery drains more quickly, even when it is on the charging station.
For this reason, we recommend ALWAYS powering the scanner from AC power.
